My Review:

Saani Kaayidham, the much-anticipated production starring Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan, has been published on Amazon Prime Video. The project, directed by Arun Matheswaran, is a vengeance drama set in rural Tamil Nadu. Siddharth Ravipati is the financier of Saani Kaayidham, which is written and directed by Arun himself.

Saani Kaayidham, the much-anticipated multilingual film is now available on Amazon Prime Video. The moviegoers saw the film as soon as it was released and expressed their thoughts on social media. While netizens are talking about the film getting mixed reviews, they praised Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan for their amazing performances.

Saani Kaayidham Movie Review

The film begins with a black and white sequence that teases the spectator as to what is to come. Saani Kaayidham unfolds as chapters in an ingeniously constructed non-linear tale. With great conviction, the film addresses our society’s deep-seated caste inequality.

With Saani Kaayidham, Arun Matheswaran, who shot to prominence with Rocky, returns to his unique style of filmmaking. Saani Kaayidham is directed by Arun Matheswaran. It’s a basic vengeance story set in the late 1980s. The goal is to express honest emotions while minimizing drama. We see this in the story, where the emphasis is on the images rather than the words.

The black and white shot at the start, as well as the violence that occurs, create an atmosphere for the rest of the film. A chapter-by-chapter narrative is utilized here, which fits well for the slow accumulation of emotions and the escalation of danger.

Another thing I personally liked was When a guy is killed, we hear a live feed of Duryodhana’s death from the Mahabharata. Good inclusion in a different manner!

Keerthy Suresh Ponni

Keerthy Suresh’s Brilliant Performance

With her fantastic performance as Ponni, Keerthy Suresh once again demonstrates why she is one of the best performing talents in modern cinema. The actor’s performance in Saani Kaayidham exemplifies her versatility and incredible range as a performer. Ponni is quite a difficult role to play, but Keerthy Suresh has done an excellent job. The cold-blooded flip from a soft-spoken woman at the outset is what makes Keerthy Suresh’s performance unique.

With heavy dialogues, portraying the character and carrying it entirely was amazingly done.

Selvaraghavan’s Acting

With his sincere performance, Selvaraghavani is the big surprise here. He excels in easy moments with the kid and contributes to the creation of an emotional aspect without the need of numerous sentences. With the music and graphics, the conclusion is almost like a star.

Selvaraghavan is just wonderful as Sangaiya, the role who distinguished his acting debut in the first place. The acclaimed director has portrayed the many nuances of his character to 100 % satisfaction and is unquestionably the ideal option for the position.

Other Elements In The Film

Sam CS’s background soundtrack is fantastic. It is vital to build the narrative’s captivating aspect. It is what keeps one riveted even when nothing is occurring. The cinematography of Yamini Yagnamurthy is stunning. Nagooran’s precise editing sharpens the shots even further. The wiring might have been improved because there is a similar sense throughout.

Yamini Yagnamurthy, the cinematographer, deserves a standing ovation for the remarkable visuals of Saani Kaayidham, which contribute to an extraordinarily genuine film experience. Nagooran Ramachandran’s superb editing elevates the non-linear story to new heights.

Downside of Saani Kaayidham

  1. Lack of drama and emotions
  2. Can get boring if you do not know where its heading
  3. There is lack of character for the villains.
  4. The killings happen too quick that it seemed like an easy task

Saani Kaayidham is a gritty, violent, and tragic drama that is distinguished by the performances of its major actors, Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan. This Arun Matheswaran-directed picture is incredibly compelling, but it is not for everyone. Saani Kaayidham is not for the faint hearted.
